Matt,
I appreciate your volunteering for the cellar and I've got you down for
that. Just a point of clarification: DOZE is doing the cellaring before (840
entries/2520 bottles) and during (i.e. miss part of the conference) the
event. This involves many hours of volunteering and is far more than our
fair share. There are a lot of people from the other local clubs that will
be filling these other jobs. We have to spread the fun around.
Mike

Push,
Put me down for anything you need. I have never been to an NHC before but
will do whatever I can, if you need me.
Tasty,
Last meeting you asked for cellarmen. You can count me in for that as well.

Calling all California-based Homebrew Clubs,
The 2009 National Homebrew Conference in Oakland <http://
www.beertown.org/events/hbc> is coming up in just a few months and the
planning committee needs volunteers from your club!
It is great to have this year's conference in our home state and we
want to make it the best experience possible for our visiting
homebrewing brethren. We would like to have at least one member from
each club volunteer for an hour on the floor of the conference center
to help by answering questions and directing participants to the
various events.
The ideal candidate has already been to a national conference before
and is willing to spend a small portion of their time helping others
enjoy the event.
We plan to give volunteers a 2009 NHC t-shirt to wear for their shift
to identify them as a member of the team and to keep as a thank-you for
their help.
I would like to have a list of all volunteers and their contact
information (name, email and cell phone number) by March 13. Don't
hesitate to write or call me with any questions you may have.
Thanks in advance for your club's participation in making this the best
National Homebrew Conference yet!
Cheers,
Charlie Essers
