If we want to win in club only competitions, I believe members need to
intentionally brew for the competitions. This competition is as tough as
the second round of nationals, as it is the best beer from each of the
participating clubs. How tough this competition can be hit me when I got
my score sheet back from the strong ale competition. My English
Barleywine had scored a 42 and moved on to the best of show, but did not
place. This means it is tough, not unwinable. With as many beers as
Doze places in the nationals, we have some of the best brewers in the
nation.

I will be sending out occasional reminders about the competitions. I
would like some brewers to step up and commit to brewing for these
competitions.

September Meeting: Bock - Category 5; 5a Maibock/Helles Bock, 5b
Traditional Bock,
                                                                5c
Doppelbock, 5d Eisbock

TOO LATE TO BREW FOR THIS ONE - BRING EM IF YA GOT EM

March Meeting: Porters - Category 12, 12a Brown Porter, 12b Robust

Could have time to brew this one two or three times and perfect it.
However, note that a Baltic Porter is generally a lager.

September 2008 Meeting: Imperial Anything (An imperial ligh hybrid?)

Brew now, these babies need 6-12 months to age.
