Primate.net is the vanity domain of Aaron T Porter and since it replaced sausage.net in February of 1998 has provided e-mail and web hosting services to friends and their associated projects.
The system is currently a Pentium 4 3Ghz rack mount server with two gigabytes of ram and some large, slow SATA disks. It is running Linux, using the Debian distribution. Services offered include shell accounts, web hosting, DNS hosting, MySQL, e-mail hosting and e-mail relaying.
Incredibly fast network connectivity is via RawBandwidth and their colo service.
